CEMU for TTT2
Cemu 1.2.... is a emulator for the Wii U which came after the Wii console had the large gamepad controller with a TV screen in it, that Wii U, the Wii had a small handheld stick and another handheld controller with a joystick on it and some buttons on the front. Later (now) came the Nintendo Switch console.
Anyway, Cemu plays or emulates the Wii U console.
Specifically Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition.
This version of the game (PS3 is the other, also currently on PS4 Now via the PSN PlayStation Network subscription based model, also is or was on xbox one game backwards compatibility mode or something like that and a disc version was also released on the xbox 360 console) this version in the Wii U has some extra features like
1.) Nintendo themed costumes
2.) Nintendo mode that has mushrooms that make you taller or shrink during a fight.
3.) Tekken Ball Mode (a game mode from Tekken 3 and now Tekken 8 has it also.)
A>) Assuming you manage to find a copy of the TTT2 game iso or wux or wud file to use in Cemu you also need a "key" for the plain text game file in the Cemu folders called "keys." It is self explanatory if you open the file it tell you how to format it, just a string of numbers and then a space with a # symbol.
If not the game won't launch.
B>) Assuming you have all of that you also would want a "save file" from the internet and that is a little tricky to locate the folder to install especially if it is from a different region (US, EU, Japan) and so you can install a save file only the black file named "save" and no folders apparently if it is from a different region and not working. So if you click through all the files find it then find your own save file by loading the game in Cemu (first) then left click the game and select "save directory" that is where the save file is (you can also put it anywhere you want) point is find it and a black file named save then copy replace the new file. Maybe you will be lucky and have success doing a drag drop of the entire internet save file(s) at once there is a variety packed in but I know you only need the one black save file.
CONTROLLER SUPPORT IN CEMU:
C>) Assuming you do all this, there is only typical controller support, in Cemu for Wii and Xbox (or xinput or ps3 or PS4 I think as well, I am unsure but the options I am aware of using it) is wii, wii u pro contorller, wii classic controller, wii nunchuck, and the reason I say this is you can't use the new versions of controllers with the rear buttons, as in Cemu there is no way natively in Cemu to assign the buttons and TTT2 doesn't have the same Tekken 7 menu to assign buttons,
so, in Cemu it shows the buttons you can assign, being the front, and top buttons, (also d-pad and sticks L3 and R3) but no rear buttons available unless your controller does it by itself.
2.) You will notice that using an xbox controller in the wii game makes it so A and B are flipped.
D>) Assuming you map your controller in Cemu toolbar tab options to do it and it works, you can see it is responding and the game launches, then the only other thing to be aware of is pressing the start buitton opens Cemu gamebar and your pc lower taskbar, exiting fullscreen, which is in Cemu at the top in the 2nd tab, 2nd option down in the drop down menu, so in game you need to set it to be fullscreen or you will often open menus with the L2 and R2 buttons being pressed while playing, so
go to the menu click the options, fullscreen, then whenever you press start as in to exit practice to change options or return to the game mode select screen, Cemu will window the game because you pressed start.
ONLINE SUPPORT IN CEMU:
E>) There is no "online" unless you figure out how to install and update and patch or whatever it is to make it work I don't know, only clicking the online game mode option pops up an error screen box from Cemu I imagine, not TTT2. SO might be possible, no idea how.
If you want to play online only and don't want to read anything else, RPCS3 emulator for PS3 has online play I know that for sure as seen video about it recently, but no idea what install and patch and such he had to do to make it all work, only that he did in the past year.
IS CEMU GOOD?: what controller worked?
F>) Cemu, is it any good? Yes it is fine no problem and pretty simple to navigate, not to cluttered and confusing, rather easy actually, there is a controller tab and is also easy to work with.
I used a 8bitdo controller which is a xbox style controller and it picked it up no problem and assigned the buttons by default, just select wii u pro or whatever, then xinput under the next drop down and then the visual graphic representation under those will show the controller buttons all mapped and then click save.
I was able to use the right analog stick to navigate around and press L2 and x as in when switch from fullscreen to windowed instead of using the pc mouse, used the right analog and L2 to select the option cemu tab then press the d-pad down, and press x to make it fullscreen again when done with TTT2 menu navigation.
G>) How to set controller buttons in game in TTT2? Go to the options menu and controller, or in practice mode do the same, and then go down 1 bar to the middle bar, and then you can press a button and press left or right on the d-pad to select the button layout for each button, as in make the a button a+B, and or tag+a, there is 2 unique moves in TTT2 to think about setting a button to,
there is Tag + A and then Tag +A + B, the first makes it so you grab you opponent and your partner will leap in kicking them as you hold them up, and then the tag plus a and b is a bound move that is a overhand slam to the ground causing your partner to come in and do an attack. Other than that is the "switch" or "tag" option that is set to the right analog stick, but you can assign it elsewhere also.
H>) When it comes to DLC the only new character is Jun's other person the top left woman in all blue ink named "Unknown" who only has a variable move set of 2 different moves that are actually preety much no different overall, you need to really get into the character to even know they are different and don't even matter at all as different characters, like how LEE and VIOLET are the same.
