Apparently this game didn't sell well, about 3 million sold, which is low, compared to Tekken 6, 7, 8, but TTT2 sold about 3 million also which was also labeled a failure.

I played it better offline than online in his video.
The visual quality of the video recording is really bad for some reason.

So this is likely why there is no Tekken x Street Fighter, which was in development for a long time, but then cancelled by the Tekken creators working on it.

Tekken 7 has some new characters and added Akuma as a guest character, so the roots of those characters could be from this development.

The game on PS3 has a lot of downloading of extra content like free gem packs and colors, which if you don't have that content all downloaded and run the save file on another PS3 or your own if you uninstall the game (delete it) then reinstall the games save file will no longer work, since you don't also have all of the extra content currently downloaded, and so you have to go to the store and download each of like 50 of those dlc items individually.  Or your custom character settings, gems selected won't be available, like a new save entirely.  Might even overwrite it if you proceed without the content.

I liked the game however the graphics are kind of not good to the point you wish you could use some current day mod to swap stages as they look very bizarre, kind of graphically too much so the characters kind of blend in, in a weird way, sort of visual overload,
otherwise as a fighting game is pretty good, has a 3 punch combo style of gameplay in addition to all it does already as a normal fighting game, as in press, x, o, triangle or whatever and it makes a combo that launches, and then you tag out automatically or something like that.

A similar 3 punch combat system is in Under Night in Birth.

This game used to be on Steam on PC but was removed.
The page still exists but the download is only for those who already owned it.

Law from Tekken for example had a move where he rapidly punched a lot, I mean like a super speed punching combo of 10 hits, pow-pow-pow...etc... so not just punch and kick had some unique elements.  Also had the typical (rage art in Tekken now) street fighter super move that turns it into an long extended animation per each character.  As per usual.  Might have had another mechanic, I forget.

I recall online (playing Tekken characters) and fighting many Ryu's using the fireball, fireball, then Ken swap, fireball, fireball, (hydokun) etc... see video.

Overall pretty good.  A.I. if I recall pops the animation special a lot so the screen explodes on you often.  You would think maybe they would modify the Street Fighter characters to mix with Tekken characters to make it a different type of game, as in I liked the Street Fighter characters in SFxT, but no, unless the control input of moves and the special abilities count, it still all the same, so still basically same old same except for the Tekken characters I know had those special power moves in this 1.  Also Pac-Man, Mega-Man and that guy from the Sony the PlayStation games "Infamous" with an electric club were in this game.  You can use the color customization to make different looking characters might be clothing mods I don't recall.  Also the "gem" packs let you add more health bar or whatever use more specials.  There were a lot of gem packs kind of confusing to go through them all.  During a round you can active gem units or something like that.  There's maybe like 20 of them so it is a lot.
