What Is -- Dead Or Alive 6 (PS4)
DOA is like the 3D fighting game Tekken and has been around as long back to the PS1 era and its faster than Tekken in its most recent games back to the PS3. It went free to play sort of having to pay for character DLC alone or in packs, and you could buy the games in the box or digitally. Not to much changed between DOA 5 and DOA 6 if I recall in fight game mechanics. Uses a strange button configuration if I recall being strong weak and grab instead like in Tekken being left punch, left kick, right punch and right kick plus all the ways to link the moves on the top L1, L2, R1 and R2, I think DOA was more complex to master given all the variety in attacks you could do, but also had a simplistic way of playing once you learn the moves that work, sending the enemy across the screen into a wall. I haven't played DOA since back in 2024 when I took these screen shots and didn't play it much then. It has a "core fighters" release which limits the characters.

Momiji + costume set bundle -- DLC
Rachel + costume set bundle -- DLC
Tamaki + costume set bundle -- DLC
Nyotengu -- DLC
Mai Shiranui (can be bought together 1/2) + with costume set -- DLC
Kula Diamond (can be bought together 2/2) + with costume set -- DLC
Phase 4 -- DLC
A good DLC to buy is Season Pass 2.
It has Seaside Eden (bikinis), Summer Breeze, & Morphing Ninja + Momiji character.
Does not have costumes for Mai, Kula, Nyotengu, Tamaki, Rachel, maybe Phase 4 also. So only Momiji. So you save on buying her costume bundle and add bikini and ninja outfits to most others.
So I'd suggest buying the other DLC girls with the costume bundle.
To unlock costumes in DOA 6, you must play any game mode to earn costume parts and player points, then use these to purchase unlocked costumes from the "DOA Central" menu. Specifically, you get costume parts from playing modes like DOA Quest, Arcade, Time Attack, Survival, or Online matches, which unlock costumes randomly. Then, use the player points you've accumulated from all in-game activities to buy the costumes in the wardrobe.
How to unlock and buy costumes
1. Play any game mode:
DOA Quest, Arcade, Time Attack, Survival, Online matches
Every activity in these modes earns you player points and costume parts.
2. Obtain costume parts:
Playing the game will randomly give you costume parts for different characters.
When you get enough parts for a specific costume, it becomes unlocked.
3. Purchase the unlocked costume:
Go to "DOA Central" from the main menu.
Select "Wardrobe".
Choose the character and the costume you want.
Use your accumulated player points to purchase it.
Once purchased, the costume is unlocked for that character across all game modes.
