What Is Tekken 7

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Tekken 7 has a large amount of [mods] if playing on the PC with the Steam version of the game.  Making it unique in 2022.  How to mod Tekken 7 link [another post here].  The game is up to season pass 4 and patch 5.0 in August of 2022.

Tekken 7 is a 3D fighting video game that mostly functions like a 2D fighting game on a 3D plain with sidestepping an attack being rare for low level players and or input of a move that requires a sidestep happens but is not a major strategy most of the time with many characters having so many moves in the hundreds it always varies until you become very skilled.  Rolling away on the ground from an attack and sidestepping an attack are based on frames that in Tekken 7 work more like 2D then 3D due to the way moves connect in ways the spacing of the reality you are watching appear that the move shouldn't have connected, its all about frames, start up frames, and countering appropriately to make the most of your turn in a fight.  Due to the long history of this games franchise using the very damaging rage art is a way for noobs to have a chance.  The basics are easy to get a hang of but the depth of Tekken 7 takes a lot of practice.  Like rising attacks.  When to block when to attack and what attacks to use.

Similar Games are Mortal Kombat for 2D and the King of Fighters.
3D games are: Kensei Sacred Fist (PS1), Dead Or Alive, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur.

Tekken 7 is unique currently being a long running fighting game franchise with
tekken 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, tag tournament, tag tournament 2, Street Fighter x Tekken as major console releases.  With Tekken 7 being available on PlayStation 4 and a franchise exclusive to arcades and PlayStation historically, and now with Tekken 7 it's on Xbox One, and for Steam on PC and computers.  You can purchase an online membership called playstation plus or now and play Tekken 7 digitally also Tag Tournament 2 is available with various fighting game titles and other genres of games.  It is all in the cloud with ps plus or ps now.

Tekken 7 is unique this time for its use of Rage Art animation moves, a first in the series.

You trigger rage when health is low and if land it execute a animation attack on your opponent.

The hit condition also features a slow motion mechanic at times if health is low and large blasts and zoom in.  There is a Power Crush move(s) that turn the character white and let them proceed through an opponents attack for guaranteed damage like any move but also while still taking damage if the opponent timed their attack right.  Third there are blue moves called Rage Drive moves which add a little style to a move or a long string to the move making the character blue while doing it; becomes a choice in the rage state to do a rage drive or a rage art which is the full stop to the action animation (animatic) move, which if opponent timed correctly can land a hit to stop it (rarely) or at least land some hit before it begins.  It is a feature in its early stages a bit under developed and over-powered for a lot of characters, as I have often times been frustrated by what should have beat the use of it and lost (a lot).  Otherwise the rage art it is well implemented overall.  Rage Drive is just another move and power crush can be exploited by some for major advantage to the overall combo and eventual juggle mastery gameplay involved.

Tekken 7 is based on basic combos, in series, like x up, x down, x forward, x back, x up forward, down back, down forward, up back all do a different moves so every direction does something different for each button and xx, or xx R2 (on PlayStation Controllers also Xbox has the same "x" but the steam version is set to xbox buttons, which can be modded to playstation layout).  There is also xo type staggered inputs which are not one at a time or both together but both one after the other quickly.  Which is a rare input for most characters.

So there is a lot of inputs to learn, moves like forward x, o, up R2, xx, and there is no block only holding backwards.  Soul Calibur uses a block button.

Juggling is a main feature which is a "combo" taken to a extreme to "juggle" your opponent with enough skill and time spent playing you can learn to juggle players making them bounce, float, 'fly' be suspended in the air as you hit and hit them across the stage.  There are stages with wall breaks opening up areas beyond.  Features single player modes and online with tournaments even cash money on PS4 tournaments happen occasionally.  Is a pro game series in the professional video gamer world of fighting game tournaments around the world.  This game v7 has no single player walk around beat'em up mode this time.  Was called "Scenario Campaign" in Tekken 6 and prior games the mode also.  There is a DLC bowling game from an old Tekken updated for download into Tekken 7 as part of a season pass or buy it as all things available individually.  No online bowling.

Tekken 7 added a bunch of new characters.  Akuma from Street Fighter is a default character and new characters like Katarina and Claudio appear to be influenced by Chun-Li and Ryu from SF while not really and still be unique in their move sets but you can kind of see that the developers were putting work on the cross over game that was announced and not released.  There was a SFxTekken game on PS3 and they said they were also going to make a TekkenxSF but it never got released after many years and then now Tekken 7 has Akuma.  You can mod in Chun-Li and M.Bison, and others even unique move set characters via modding, see [link] this post here.  Geese Howard was added who is from the King of Fighters franchise.  Akuma and Geese use projectiles.  Fire Ball for Akuma.  Tekken with Tag Tournament 2 had projectile capabilities in its custom clothing items and Tekken 7 also has it with throwing stars, knives, and such things including guns along with baseball bats and such things.  They don't compare to Akuma's fire ball or Geeses projectile though.  Devil Jin and Kazuya have had similar laser beam moves which work the like laser gun and Eliza was added back in the PS3 download game Tekken Revolution and she had a SF inspired move set with a similar Geese projecticle.  It travels on the ground.

Tekken has 4 seasons passes and each element can be purchased alone.
Multiple DLC characters added.
Multiple new stages.
Frame Data.
Bowling Game.
and if you buy one of the certain season "passes" there is some costume unlock but it isn't much just a few locked outfits.

Each pass has a few characters, then also stages in one or two with the characters, then also the costumes and frame data in another with characters.

Akuma has a hit that does this.  Not every hit makes these large explosions.

Most hits look like this.  Or have no hit effect noticed.
