What Is - Soul Calibur 3
Soul Calibur 3 (PS2) was released on the PlayStation 2 and other consoles. Was years later remade in an HD version on the PlayStation 3 store with an online mode also.
This is a weapons combat fighting game.
This game a mode where there were different challenge levels. 1 hit kill wins round complete a match like this, 1 match had a spinning floor you would be pulled to the outside and off the side, a boss fight level, etc..
Very good game had a bunch of extra characters that were played in the modes of the game that you could play as or create a custom character using their weapon if you selected 'weapon master' as your custom character you could select any of the various other characters weapons instead of using the base game roster of characters. Also has the character customization obviously so you can put on clothing and make the character look how you want with the weapon you want. It is the lower left memory card option in the select screen will open a menu of options, also the other options.
Each of the characters also has a variety of weapons to pick you have to unlock by earning money in game, then going to the store and buying them all. The 8 or so options for each weapon style were a longer sword, shorter sword, gold sword, all kinds of designs kind of thing, if it was a club or mace character be a option for a hand at the end or a spiked ball.
Soul Calibur 2 is another very good game. Also has a lot of single player content wondering through many levels.
Soul Calibur 4 switched up the graphics engine and gameplay to a more computer type of gameplay style with how the impacts happen, it is noticeable when played. SC4 added Star Wars characters, Vader, Star Killer and Yoda. I think they were DLC you had to purchase and Star Killer was free.
Soul Calibur 5 continued the computer type of gameplay.
SC 2 & SC 3 are pretty much the best games ever made.
I think SC 2 is slightly faster but slightly less moves.
Yoshimitsu from Tekken is in this game franchise or the other way around since he was in all Tekken games up to modern day Tekken 8. Uses a sword.

The main three new warriors in the game are Zasalamel, Tira and Setsuka. Nearly all of the warriors previously featured in Soul series titles return, with the exception of Inferno, Necrid, Seong Han-myeong, Edge Master and the console-exclusive Soulcalibur II special guests (Heihachi, Link, and Spawn). Soulcalibur II's mimic character Charade does return in a non-playable form, as do the generic Lizardmen.
Unlockable characters include personnel in the Chronicles of the Sword, opponents from the Tales of Souls mode, and the weapon, armor, and item shop owners.
Berserker is a non-playable knight with gray armor who wields a lance that appears in Tales of Souls. He is non-playable but can easily be created in the Character Creation mode using the Unholy and Evil armor with a knight's cape.
